Free Eye Camp Benefits 300+ at Shadan Engineering College-Peeramcheru
Hyderabad, 07th August 2025 (vishwamnews): Shadan College of Engineering and Technology (SCET), Peeramcheru, in collaboration with Singh’s Eye Wear, successfully organized a Mega Free Eye Camp for the benefit of its students and staff.The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Md. Ateeq Ur Rahman, Principal of SCET, who emphasized the importance of regular eye check-ups and urged everyone to make full use of the opportunity. He expressed his gratitude to Dr. Chandrasekhar Azad, renowned Optometrist from BITS Pilani and Proprietor of Singh’s Eye Wear, for his dedicated service in conducting the camp.
Chairman of Shadan Educational Society, Dr. Mohammed Shah Alam Rasool Khan, lauded the initiative and appreciated the organizers for their commendable efforts. Prof. S.A. Muneem, Director of the college, ensured all necessary facilities for smooth conduct of the event and congratulated the team for its success.
Dr. Md. Iliyas, Dean and Convener of the event, stressed the need to give equal importance to health and academics. He shared that over 200 students and 100 staff members underwent eye check-ups and received free reports.
The event was smoothly managed under the supervision of NSS Officer Dr. Ravinder Korani, who also assured that more such health awareness programs would be organized under the NSS Cell.
The Organizing Committee, comprising Dr. Srinivas, Mr. Anwar Farooq Bin Yousuf, Dr. G. Ravi Kumar, Dr. Sk. Saidulu, Dr. Amairullah Khan Lodhi, Mr. Kashif Iqbal, Mr. K. Sampath Kumar, Mr. V. Venkateshwarlu, and all the Heads of Departments, played a vital role in ensuring the success of the event.
